Prototyping
Services that make it happen
3D printing
In-house SLA and FDM printers provide a rapid turnaround of 3D printed prototypes to evaluate form, fit and function of components. This fast feedback loop enables the design team to make quick design decisions and iterations.
Lazer cutting
Laser cutting facilities allow us to make prototypes ranging from quick, low-resolution test fittings, through to highly detailed and precise microfluidic platforms. We work with a variety of materials including soft fabrics.
Workshop
Excellent in-house facilities mean that we can build a wide range of prototypes for quick and effective testing. From the latest technologies to traditional hand tools, our in-house prototyping skills reduce lead time and speed up the design process.
Assembly
We manage the full prototyping process from making components in-house to working with external suppliers. Final prototypes help us fully understand the assembly process, and where the design can be modified to improve downstream manufacturing and factory processes.
Soft goods
Soft goods fabric prototypes allow fit, comfort, wearability and usability to be evaluated quickly and easily. Soft goods features such as straps, often form an integral part of the design of wearable tech and can all be produced in-house.
Looks-like models
A physical model helps you make design decisions on styling, ergonomics, colour, material and finish at an early stage of the design process.
