the challenge

PanzerGlass, a global leader in screen protection, saw the 2024 launch of iPhone 16 as the right moment to expand their product portfolio. Their first move into mobile cases had relied on non-proprietary tooling - a fast route to market, but one that lacked differentiation.

The next step was more ambitious: create a bespoke case range with a clear, ownable design language. One that would elevate the brand, reflect its Nordic roots, and build emotional resonance with users.

They needed to deliver a premium, tactile experience - something that would stand out on shelves and in-hand - all within an accelerated timeline and with the pressure of delivering retail-ready stock ahead of the launch.

Starting from scratch

We developed a focused and fast-moving process to meet the timeline without compromising the creative ambition.

Through collaborative brand workshops and iterative design sprints, we helped the PanzerGlass team explore how their values could be expressed in form - defining a visual language that was both authentic and future-facing.

CMF development was guided by user insight. We validated preferences across colour, texture, and finish - ensuring the range felt fresh but durable. Research revealed that many users continue using their original case for years, so long-term appeal mattered as much as initial impact.

Our design exploration led to three clear directions for the range, each one distinct yet united under a coherent brand expression.

Market Growth

Launched at IFA in September 2025, the new range made an immediate impression. Visitors gravitated toward the tactility - the fine surface detailing and carefully considered forms encouraged touch, exploration, and conversation.

It’s a product users interact with every day - something that frames their device and expresses their style. That emotional connection, built into the physical design, was clear from the response.

The Care range has successfully extended PanzerGlass’ reach beyond screen protection - strengthening their brand narrative, expanding their category presence, and laying the foundation for future growth in the mobile protection market.

This project was about more than just designing a case - it was about giving a well-known brand a new language to speak to their users with. We focused on tactility, emotional connection, and lasting relevance. It’s great to see it out in the world making that impact.
