Metrasens produce advanced detection technologies to detect risk items. OPD helped re-design and engineer their market leading contraband detection systems to revolutionize portable screening.
The scanner needed to blend in with a whole range of settings, including healthcare, offices and correctional facilities. As well as looking good it had to be more rugged and adaptable than its predecessor.
The new sensor architecture gives far higher accuracy, consistency and detection sensitivity than the previous model.
Its construction is entirely modular, increasing the environmental specification and reducing production costs.
The interface was designed to be clearer and more intuitive for users and the sleek portable pole has 5 zone location LED indicators at the height level corresponding to detected contraband, for ease of use and improved secondary screening efficiency.
The final design offers touch less, noninvasive and respectful screening at a distance, keeping everyone safe without compromising aesthetics.
