OPD helped Metric develop a fresh, contemporary concept ID for their new Parcel drop box point.
approach
The unit was designed to be created using sheet metal construction around an internal mechanism for dropping the parcel from the upper hatch into the secure base. The shape of the unit was made to stand out and provide clear areas for prominent branding, visible from all directions.
The roofline was sloped to allow rainwater to run off towards the rear while the front hatch and user interface is recessed into the unit for protection from the elements and knocks.
